A Moment in Time
A late circuit of the Coledale Horseshoe in October. The reward was sunset perfection. Climbing up to Grasmoor from Coledale Hause was the first reveal, a big red orb, shared with two other walkers. My only company on Crag Hill was the ‘trig point’. The quiet stillness, and the sky to the west, a bright orange, were something very special. By the time I got back to Braithwaite, the light was still catching the upper reaches of Skiddaw Little Man. Lake District magic!
